Have They No Shame?
In a breathtaking act of bravado, Wyeth is trying to take away your right to access bioidentical hormones and compounding pharmacies by enlisting so-called women’s and physician groups like The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG which is funded in part by Wyeth), North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA also a 'partner' of Wyeth) which have become nothing more than covert "fronts" for the pharmaceutical industry.
In October 2005 Wyeth filed a citizen petition with the FDA essentially asking for elimination of the compounding of bioidentical hormone option for women of all ages.
Please click here and join me in stopping Wyeth from maneuvering us out of our rights and becoming victims of a healthcare system run by the monopoly of big pharma and motivated solely by money.

I will be announcing this in my March 6 newsletter (15,000 subscribers) and I put a link to your site for them to speak up on this issue.
I like your point of view and have promoted your books (sent one to my sister and she's now happily on bhrt) on my website.
Thanks for what you're doing for women's health.

I am enraged at the audacity of Wyeth! Taking away my right to make my own choices, to get the safer bioidentical hormones ,(that I had gone through so much trouble to inform my doctor about , then get him to prescribe in the first place) and now THIS! Profits are what this is all about, not womens safety! Now where will I go to get my hormones?!

Here's what I wrote in the comments portion:
"Bio identical hormone therapy is safe and effective. I know this to be true first hand, because I use it. Prohibiting bio identical hormone therapy would be taking away my right to make my *own* personal and private healthcare CHOICE. I condemn Wyeth's attempt to cast doubt on the safety and effectiveness of bio identical hormones, and remove them from the marketplace. By doing so, this major pharmaceutical company is trying to strip me of my right to make my own healthcare decisions. I hereby make my protest in the strongest of terms. I refuse to use pregnant mare's urine on MY body! I refuse to become a cancer statistic. I refuse to bow down to a drug company who *uses* women in order to make a buck. How dare they do this to women's rights in order to increase their revenue? How dare they!"

THANK YOU, Dr. Erika, for bringing this IMPORTANT issue to my attention. I have sent my protest to the FDA and I know you will keep all of us updated on this issue.
Wyeth's audacity is breathtaking.
